This weekend, we have a 14-fight card in Brazil. DraftKings has some adequate contests out there with this Fight Night card, and this can be uncommon for all these free ones. The principal tourney is an $8 entry and pays $20k to 1st. That’s the principal GPP I’ll be pursuing this week. As always, I’m in the 3-entry max and only entry GPPs as well. But this week DraftKings has two contests for trips out to Vegas to see the McGregor vs Khabib fight. Hotel, flight, and fights all paid for. The floor seats competition is a $33 entrance and the non-floor seats competition is simply a $15 entry. I am going to need to take a few shots at that too. Also, DraftKings simply released a competition for UFC 299 that is a $10 entry having a gigantic $100,000 to 1st place. That is unquestionably the greatest prize we have seen in DFS MMA, so let’s build a bankroll this weekend so we are able to shoot a few additional shots at the $100k. With that said, here are a Couple of plays I enjoy this week in Addition to my fade of this week:
Money Game play of this week — Livia Renata Souza ($9,600)
Livia Souza is the strongest triumph on the card and that I believe she gets this fight finished early. That is where I am starting my cash LUs weekly. Only give me the -1100 favorite who is being fed up an easy win here, for my cash games. I really do like a great deal of the top favorites on this particular card, I simply are the most shocked when Souza lost. I think she’s fine in both formats, but she will probably be chalky in GPPs, so money games would be the best place to get your Souza investment this week. Take this win, then find 3 others and you need to be useful in money games.
GPP drama of the week — Charles Oliveira ($9,400)
I am a large Charles”Can Bronx” Oliveira fan, and he’s some of my own favorites in UFC history. I think we could see another amazing one here. This fight appears to be simple to call. Do Bronx will start looking for the early takedown and if he could get it then he probably gets a 1st round sub. If that happens he must lock up a solid 100 points and I am pretty confident in that being the results of the fight, so that is why he’s my GPP play of this week. He is also my GPP drama of this week, rather than my Cash play of the week for a reason. If he can not get the takedown(s) early, then he’ll probably quit and get completed himself together with strikes. I really don’t enjoy that risk of a low floor because of my cash LU, therefore I favor Souza there. However, in GPPs I like saving the 200 and going down to Do Bronx.
Underdog play of this week — Eryk Anders ($7,600)
I would like Anders a lot more if he wasn’t carrying this fight on short notice, and if it wasn’t in Brazil. However he does have a clear route to success here and that’s by knocking out Santos who doesn’t possess a fantastic chin. Anders could also opt for takedowns in this fight and he can win with a few hard GNP too. At $7.6k he’ll almost surely wind up on the winning LU if he is able to get the KO. This is the main event, so he will have 5 rounds to function with. I really do think that is a solid matchup for Anders, however he has to be competitive and never hang out to the outside. If he hangs out on the outside as long Santos will eat up him with kicks and it might be a brief night for Anders. I will select him to get the win as an underdog in Brazil and I think he has it completed in the first two rounds with a KO. This will easily pay off his $7.6k salary and it will win you a GPP if you’re able to get your additional five spots correct as well.
Fade of this week — Sam Alvey ($9,200)
Sam Alvey is obviously a fade for me. I wrote him up as my fade of this week here, I was quite wrong and he scored over 100 points. If this happens again , then so be it. However, I refuse to rely on an early KO win to cover off a 9.2k salary by a guy who does not throw many strikes. At $9.2k I need at least 92 points from Alvey when I roster him and the only way get gets that is using a 1st round KO win. That could happen here against a 42-year-old Lil Nog, but I am not willing to spend my money in it.
