Kieren Fallon excited to be riding in Leger Legends

Kieren Fallon is excited about riding on exactly the identical card as his son, Cieren, at Doncaster on Wednesday.
The six-times champion jockey leaves his return to the saddle at the Mondialiste Leger Legends race on board Nigel Tinkler’s Kilbaha Lady.
The likes of Mick Kinane Sir Anthony McCoy, Joseph O’Brien and Charlie Swan are all to the roll of honour and Fallon, famous for his competitiveness, would like to add his name to the list.
Fallon retired in 2016, but has been keeping his attention in by hanging out for Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor. He is due to take part in a similar event in the Curragh on Sunday – that the Pat Smullen Champions Race for Cancer Trials Ireland.
While awaiting his return it is of sharing the room along with his champion apprentice-elect son which Fallon is most pleased about the possibility.
Fallon said:”Obviously I’m anticipating the race, but I never once thought I’d find the chance to ride the exact same card since Cieren jnr, therefore I’m very excited about being able to accomplish that. He has been telling me that I should come out of retirement!
“Also I’m really looking forward to Sunday and going back to Ireland for a reason which is extremely worthwhile. This is far from a warm-up, however.
“It would be great if we can both ride a winner on precisely the same day, that could be something .”
Later being reserved to partner Roundhay Park in the concluding Parkes Bros Roofing Contractors Handicap, fallon jnr also includes a ride for Tinkler on the opening afternoon of the William Hill St Leger Festival.
The Fallon-Tinkler connection goes a very long way with Julie Fallon, ex-wife of Kieren and mum of Cieren, working for the trainer before.
Tinkler said:”Kieren appears as fit now as if he was riding – he looks in terrific form.
“I am thrilled to get him riding for us as he is ridden a excellent few champions for us in the past and his spouse rode for us, too.
“Kilbaha Lady ran well at Newcastle last moment to finish moment and she looks well in herself. Hopefully she belongs to Doncaster having a good each-way chance.”
Of Fallon jnr, the coach added:”He’s got a different style for his father, but he is certainly a very good rider.
“This will be his first ride for me and that I expect he’s got a fantastic chance. Roundhay Park was somewhat disappointing this year, but at the exact identical time he’s run some great races without winning.”
Noel Fehily rides distance and class winner Hammer Gun for coach Derek Shaw. Fehily retired following a career, where he rode over 1,000 National Hunt winners – such as in the Champion Hurdle and the King George VI Chase.
Fehily stated:”I’m excited about getting back into the saddle. The horse has some form to his name and he’s a course a space winner, so hopefully he’ll run well – I hope the jockey does not blow up.
“I’d be quite keen to win it. It will be good fun and it is for a fantastic reason, but we are all competitive at the conclusion of the day and I’m sure we’ll all do our very best to come out at the top.”
Andrew Thornton has helped organise the Leger Legends races also is now hoping to time his campaign better on Les Eyre’s Detachment.
The Gold Cup-winning jockey partners the identical coach’s Valley Of Fire on Wednesday – a winner on his latest look at Redcar.
“It’d certainly be nice to go one better than a year ago,” said Thornton.
“I will try to bear in mind that the furlong marker isn’t the winning article this year!
“it is a great line-up and as I’m convinced it will be very aggressive. It’ll be a fantastic moment.”
While jockey turned Luke Harvey spouses Richard Fahey’s Windsor Cross grand National-winning jockey Timmy Murphy is really on board John Quinn’s Ascot Week.
Fahey saddles two runners, together with Sammy Jo Bell on-board Dubai Acclaim for her supervisor.
Ollie Pears trains and rides Placebo Effect, although Brian Harding – champion of this race – is on Tim Easterby’s One To Go.
The field of 16 runners can be performed by Destroyer (Colin Bolger), Dream Walker (Jamie Mackay), Elusive Heights (Gary Bardwell), Kannapolis (Barry Keniry), Poet’s Pride (Charlie Poste), Sands Chorus (Victoria Smith), Whatwouldyouknow (Derek McGaffin) along with Flying Dragon (Adrian Nicholls).
