Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins set career highs to receiving yards (198) and touchdowns (three) in his team’s opening game of the year.
Watkins, in his second year with the explosive Chiefs, began off his monster afternoon using a 68-yard touchdown.
And he did not wait long to add his moment, hauling at a 49-yard pass from a season’s NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Later Watkins capped his trio of all TDs as Kansas City went on to conquer the Jacksonville Jaguars 40-26.
Not only were they amounts bests for its 26-year-old, but the 198-yard total was the history.
